We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, confident and meticulous.
Our kitchen is located in East Vancouver, Hastings Sunrise. It is bright, sunny and clean. We work with the most beautiful local produce and are proud of making some of the best artisan jams and marmalades around town. Everything is made by hand, we do not use heavy or loud equipment. A strong work ethic and high standards for work quality is the most important aspect in our kitchen.

You must:
Have kitchen experience
Be punctual
Have Food Safe certification/recommended
Comfortable working in a fast pace environment
Have a positive attitude
Be able to stand for long hours
Have attention to detail
Be able to work on your own
Be able to work fast, like really fast.
Tie up your hair or wear hat/hair net
Kitchen assistant responsibilities include and are not limited to:
You will be doing many different things in one day; almost every week we will be working with a new fruit and new recipes; your work will be:
Washing, slicing, juicing and peeling fruit FAST and efficiently
Pouring hot liquid (jam, marmalade) into jars, adding lids, processing in hot water bath
Labeling jars
Washing dishes
Keeping working tables clean and organized at all time
What we offer:
We like to work early in the morning so by mid day we are done.
Starting September
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 8am -3pm= 28 hours per week
A clean kitchen
